This month students in Nora Flynn’s class have been focusing on their civic duties. What better way to put that theory into practice than by heading out into the community! This week students were involved in a community service project at the Eastchester Recreation Department where they stuffed goodie bags for this weekend’s Rag-A-Muffin Parade. They also visited Nature’s Cradle to learn about ways that the business is eco-friendly and a positive neighbor in our community.
Community Based Instruction (CBI) allows our students to receive a variety of learning experiences to help them acquire the skills to live and work as independently as possible after high school.
