Teacher at Science Honor Society“Science is so valuable because science increases our fundamental knowledge, creates new technology dreams up new applications and creates pathways to share ideas.”

Students at Science National Honor SocietyEastchester Science teacher Dr. Suzanne Wilson inspired new members of the Science National Honor Society sharing her love for the subject and what it offers.

A former chiropractor who practiced for 20 years, Wilson is certified in Chemistry, Biology, and Health. She said science acts a foundation for the clothes we wear and the food we eat.

Approximately 40 students were inducted in the Science National Honor Society on May 20, after demonstrating a high level of academic achievement in the sciences and participating in peer tutoring or the Science Olympics.

Wilson also reaffirmed the values of research and encouraged the young women in the honor society to enter into the fields of chemistry and engineering.

Advisors Christian Gorycki and Robert Ross presented certificates to the new inductees.
