The colors of the rainbow brightened Nicole Ullrich’s kindergarten class as students completed their color week unit.
On Friday, the class dressed up in their best rainbow outfits and created a huge rainbow to display in the classroom.
To make the rainbow, the students used magazines to search for objects of different colors. They cut them out and classified the pictures on a tree map. The children couldn’t believe how big the tree map grew by the time they completed the project. Students took turns gluing all the pictures on the class rainbow.
The tree map helped us
figure out where to put the objects on the rainbow because they were already
sorted by color.
