Eastchester High School students celebrated world languages and cultures at the Spanish Club's annual Piñata Party held on January 9th.
This year, the club invited members of the French and Italian Clubs to celebrate. They played world-language trivia, held a scavenger hunt and enjoyed delicious dishes.
The event gets its inspiration from Los Tres Reyes Magos, Three Kings Day, and the clubs'
officers explained how countries around the world mark the day.
"I love languages, and it is great to see how different cultures enjoy food and understand their
traditions. It makes a better community," said Spanish Club President Lauren Naclerio.
The club members sampled tacos, penne ala vodka, eggplant parmesan and more! There was
even a flan contest to get everyone ready for dessert!
Thank you to club advisors Karina Barrera, Gessica Roviezzo and Laura Marcoccia.
